Nena-mania...

Most people (overseas) have long forgotten about Nena (both the band and singer), only remembering their 1984 hit '99 Luftballons' or '99 Red Ballons.' Nena maintained a good fan-base throughout the rest of the eighties, but ended up parting in the later portion of the decade. Nena Kerner, the frontwoman, never ceased creating music, whether it was for children or a more grown-up fanbase. Old or young, Nena has found a home in the hearts of millions all over the world, though Germany has always been the most hospitable to the singer. In any case, the English (or not) speaking fans still exist, thus this site is mandatory for those who become lost in a sea of German. Of course, this is also a little shrine, or tribute to the music of Nena over the years, for she certainly deserves it. Also, it's for those who have become curious - whatever happened to that red balloon girl anyway?

I hope you enjoy the site, anyway! :D
